We thank you for the privilege of spending this school year with your children!  Our mission has been to nurture learning each and every day in a safe, healthy, and happy environment.  We appreciate the many ways you have helped us achieve many of the goals we share in education.

FIELD DAY ON FRIDAY

The HES Annual Field Day is on Friday.  Activities begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 2:40 p.m. for all groups that day.  This is sure to be a fun day with field games and relays, obstacle course, speed stacks, hula hoop contests, watermelon eating contests, and carnival!  There will be a picnic lunch at noon at a spot selected by teachers.  Students may bring a lunch from home or order one from the Cafeteria.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL EARLY DISMISSAL

Monday, June 14th, will be the last day of this school year, with an early dismissal.  Please note that students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. on the last day of school.  There is Rec Care that afternoon. 

DOUBLE-DOG DARE AT BORDERS

Here is an FYI about a reading rewards program for students at BORDERS this summer.  Children can register at the store, and after reading 10 books they get to select a free book.  The books they read do not need to be purchased at the store – the free book is selected from a specific list at the store.  How nice!  You can find a link on the school website to check out the details of this offer.

SUMMER REC CARE PROGRAM

The Before and After Hermon Rec Care program will conclude at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14th, with  Rec Care closed for the remainder of the week.  

The Summer Rec Care Program begins on Monday, June 21st, and will conclude on Friday, August 13th.  Hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Soccer and Flag & Tackle Football -

Friday, June 11 (5:00-8:00 p.m.)

Saturday, June 12 (8:30-11:30 a.m.)

Registrations received after June 12, 2010

will be required to pay a $10.00 per player late fee.
